Private Pilot Training Course

Whew! What a fantastic experience! 

The curriculum is unique and incredibly challenging. Zach and I put everything we had into every day and we checked a significant number of requirements off the list. We also had fun!

Flight training is different than anything I have done in a very long time. The process is transformative and during my week of training with AFIT, I grew in ways I never expected or imagined. I am beyond thrilled with the results. One of the things I learned about myself just by sitting in the plane every day with Zach and seeing how he approaches piloting, training and life in general, is that I am a person who can easily become too focused on the end result. This tendency sometimes, or more likely most times, leads me to miss out on enjoying the process and the journey.

It’s really pretty amazing, with few spoken words on the subject, I came to realize that the real moments in flight training are not about the license. It’s more about the incremental progress and the development and growth we go through to achieve the license. I was completely blind to this before last Thursday. Gaining that awareness alone made the whole trip worthwhile and I gained so much more! I can fly airplanes!! So awesome!!

In contrast and thanks to Zach, I truly enjoyed every moment of my training with AFIT. I will never forget this week of my life! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for making it possible. From my perspective, this is just the beginning of my training relationship with AFIT. As I Grow as a pilot, I will need more training and I would like to be able to count on AFIT for my future training needs.
